Researchers find positive health effects from coffee, eggs, mushrooms

Studies presented at the American Society for Nutrition conference found inverse associations between coffee consumption and liver disease, egg consumption and blood glucose levels, mushroom consumption and inflammation, and low-fat, fermented dairy product consumption and colorectal cancer. Researchers also found that eating a handful of pecans daily produced changes in serum insulin levels and insulin resistance, and diets high in vegetables might reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease.
