HHS Secretary Alex Azar said the government is "cautiously optimistic" that one or two COVID-19 vaccines, possibly from Moderna or Pfizer, will be available by the end of this year. Azar expects all seniors, first responders and health care workers will be able to get the vaccine as soon as January, while the rest of the country could receive the vaccine by April.
