A study in the Journal of Perinatology showed that 9.1% of 1-year-olds whose mothers used marijuana during pregnancy had increased odds of developing social and emotional problems, compared with 3.6% of those without prenatal marijuana exposure. Researchers also linked maternal marijuana use during pregnancy with a higher likelihood of infants born small for gestational age.
