Adults with type 1 diabetes had an improved blood glucose control after using real-time continuous glucose monitoring over three years, whether used in conjunction with an insulin pump or multiple daily insulin injections, according to a study published in Diabetes Care and presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes Annual Meeting. Researchers evaluated 94 patients and found that only the group that used real-time CGM had reduced time below range and improvements in time-in-range.
