A Medscape survey of more than 7,500 physicians in eight countries, including almost 5,000 in the US, showed 62% in the US reported decreased income, second only to Brazil at 63%. The survey found 51% of US physicians were not planning any career changes, 54% had personally treated COVID-19 patients, and 64% said burnout had worsened during the pandemic.
