Data from 2011 to 2015 on more than 218 million older adults found more than 34% had received a prescription for at least one potentially inappropriate medication, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. This group was more likely to be hospitalized or visit a hospital emergency department or primary care physician.
