A study presented at ObesityWeek revealed that obese patients who used all three swallowable, gas-filled balloons as part of a weight-loss device had a total body weight loss of 9.6%, compared with 6.9% for those who uses two balloons and 3.4% for those with one balloon. Researchers reviewed data on 1,343 patients, mean age of 46, and found just two serious adverse device effects and no unanticipated adverse device effects or deaths were reported.
