Dems vow to protect ACA, cut drug prices after retaking House

Democrats have regained control of the House after sealing victories in Republican-held suburban districts, giving the party more than the 23 seats required to retake the majority. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said the Democratic Party will restore checks and balances to the Trump administration; stop attacks on the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid and protections for people with pre-existing conditions; and take action to lower prescription drug costs.
