The CDC reports that as of Feb. 20, 79,128,495 COVID-19 vaccine doses from Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech have been distributed, while 61,289,500 doses have been administered. The agency also disclosed that safety profiles for both COVID-19 vaccines are reassuring and that no new adverse events have been reported, while 6,994 adverse events notifications were received after vaccination, 90.8% of which were considered nonserious and 9.2% classified as serious, based on data published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report released last week.
