Emotional exhaustion scores among physicians who participated in a telephone-based physician coaching intervention decreased by 15.9%, compared with a 5.2% increase for those in a control group, according to a study in JAMA Internal Medicine. Overall burnout scores also decreased in the intervention group and increased in the control group.
