More parents and children were enrolled in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program from 2013 to 2015 as enrollment options increased under the Affordable Care Act, with the biggest coverage gains found among newly eligible parents, researchers reported in JAMA Pediatrics. "Our results suggest that streamlining Medicaid/CHIP enrollment may have played a substantial role in increased take-up of public coverage," the researchers wrote.
