Nutritional interventions don't reduce depression in obesity

Adults with overweight or obesity who received multinutrient supplementation and food-related behavioral activation therapy did not experience a reduction in major depressive disorder episodes over one year, similar to those who received a placebo, a placebo and therapy, and supplements with therapy. The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, was based on 1,025 adults with a body mass index between 25 and 40.
