A study in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism revealed that type 1 diabetes patients who engaged in a single episode of moderate-intensity continuous training or a single bout of high-intensity interval training after an overnight fast had no differences in the incidence of/percentage of time spent in hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia or target blood glucose range, compared with the control day without exercise. Researchers recruited 14 diabetes patients and did not find any significant difference in blood glucose concentrations between pre- and post-exercise with MICT or HIT.
