A survey of health care providers' IT executives found that about 72% of respondents consider transitioning to value-based care as very important or extremely important to the future of their organizations, but only about half said that they are technologically capable of adopting the new payment model. Among the challenges in implementing the new system: cost controls, data use, poorly structured data, effective integration of care and patient engagement were identified as top concerns by the respondents.
