Nonprofits turn to TV to tap donor pool

Nonprofit marketers are increasingly using TV ads to appeal to consumers in the wake of decreasing donations and shuttered fundraisers due to the coronavirus pandemic, writes Lara O'Reilly. For example, health care and awareness nonprofits such as American Red Cross and AARP Services generated 5.63 billion TV ad impressions between April and the middle of May, a 155% increase compared with the same period in 2019.
