The New York City Department of Environmental Protection and Mayor Bill de Blasio launched a social and out-of-home campaign featuring Billy Idol to urge New Yorkers to turn off their car engines instead of idling. "Billy Never Idles" is running across billboards, paid social, LinkNYC, city fleet vehicles, TaxiTV and features social posts from Idol, including a video on Instagram in which he says, "Don't clog our lungs with your car fumes. Billy never idles, so why should you?"
