3M agreed to set up a $32.5 million fund to compensate dentists who used the company's Lava Ultimate crowns and who have at least one patient who experienced de-bonding. Dentists filed a lawsuit alleging that the product failed at a rate "orders of magnitude higher than those seen in any other crown material," before 3M withdrew the product in June 2015.
