Shell sees global gas demand growing through 2030

Oil major Royal Dutch Shell expects global natural gas demand to increase through 2030 even under the most aggressive carbon-reduction scenario, which sees demand climbing at a compound annual rate of 2.1% in 2020 to 2025 and 0.9% in 2025 to 2030. In the first decade after 2030, global gas demand could drop by 0.5% annually, followed by a compound annual decline of 3.3% between 2040 and 2050.
