US shale production to set record in June

The Energy Information Administration sees US shale output increasing by approximately 145,000 barrels per day to a record of 7.18 million barrels per day in June. The Permian Basin will drive the gains, as production there is expected to rise by 78,000 barrels per day to a record of 3.28 million barrels per day, while Eagle Ford production is seen jumping by 33,000 barrels per day to 1.39 million barrels per day.
