The Environmental Protection Agency said Monday that it now agrees with the 10th US Circuit Court of Appeals' January 2020 ruling that limited the agency's authority to issue small refinery exemptions from biofuel blending requirements under the Renewable Fuels Standard. The American Petroleum Institute supports the EPA's reversal "as it follows the 10th Circuit court's finding and is consistent with Congress' intent when it enacted the Renewable Fuels Standard," said API Vice President Ron Chittim.
