West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery gained 2.4% to settle at a four-month high of $58.26 per barrel on Wednesday, bolstered by the Energy Information Administration's report of an unexpected 3.9 million-barrel decline in US crude stockpiles last week. Gasoline supplies also plummeted by 4.6 million barrels, while distillate inventories gained 400,000 barrels.
