Utica Shale natural gas operators attending the Hart Energy Dug East conference in Pittsburgh said that their production in the play increased exponentially in the past few years and that they expect the growth momentum to carry on as new pipelines come online. Ascent Resources, for example, saw output a jump from 377 million cubic feet per day in 2016 to roughly 1.36 billion cubic feet per day at the end of 2018, while production increased fivefold between 2016 and 2018 for smaller driller Equinor ASA.
