Chevron will collaborate with Microsoft, Schlumberger and Clean Energy Systems on the development of a carbon capture plant that would convert about 220,000 short tons of agricultural biomass to electricity and remove roughly 330,000 short tons of carbon dioxide annually. A final investment decision on the facility, to be located in Mendota, Calif., is expected next year.
