West Texas Intermediate for March delivery lost 4.6% last week, the greatest weekly drop since late December, despite gaining eight cents to close at $52.72 per barrel on Friday. The decline can be attributed to mounting concerns over a worldwide weakening of economic growth, as well as other factors including US-China trade relations.
