What's in store for US pipelines in 2021?

More pipeline cancellations could be on the horizon for the US midstream sector, and pipeline firms should brace for a tougher permitting and regulatory environment under the Biden administration, said independent analyst Andrew Lipow. The strong momentum for US oil exports will continue, although not at a high enough pace to justify the construction of all four very large crude carrier export terminals being planned along the Gulf Coast, Lipow added.
