Kathleen Hall, a science teacher at Jason Lee Middle School in Tacoma, Wash., launched a campaign to install solar panels on the school's roof as a science project for students and a lesson on green energy and climate change. Hall and three former students who have been active on the project say they're on track to install the first panels by July thanks to a $50,000 grant from Tacoma Public Utilities.
