Some Missouri teachers learned what it's like to live in poverty and make difficult decisions that can result in homelessness through to a simulation led by the Northeast Community Action Center. Participants said the experience -- which included payday loans and evictions -- helped them understand their students' situations and gave them ideas for offering help and resources.
