Starting in the 2020-21 school year, New York City Public Schools will implement a formal curriculum designed to educate and combat hate crimes. Chancellor Richard Carranza says schools will get access to other resources on the subject for use during the current school year after a wave of anti-Semitic attacks in the city in recent weeks.
