Some Advanced Placement US history students in Virginia are participating in the Poquoson Veterans Project, which is pairing them with a military veteran to learn first-hand about military service during wars. The program was started by history teacher Becky Morrison, who says the high-schoolers write papers about the veterans for donation to museums and travel to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials with the veterans.
