Worldwide nuclear energy growth is at a 25-year high, with an average of 10 reactors per year starting up between 2015 and 2017, according to World Nuclear Association Director Agneta Rising. Meanwhile, the Nuclear Energy Institute has called for a US nuclear energy strategy that includes the preservation of operating reactors, reduced regulatory burdens, support for new technical innovations and international cooperation, said Vice President of Supplier and International Programs Dan Lipman.
