Ahold Delhaize USA, which announced at the end of 2019 that it would spend $480 million to transition to an integrated self-distribution supply chain model, has teamed up with cold-storage provider Americold to build two entirely automated frozen warehouses. The facilities in Connecticut and Pennsylvania will add 500,000 square feet to Ahold Delhaize USA's cold-storage capacity and serve the grocer's Mid-Atlantic brands.
