US District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis has delayed the implementation of a South Carolina bill that would prohibit most abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. Lewis said the measure runs afoul of the precedent set in Roe v. Wade, and she handed down a 14-day temporary restraining order that could be extended.
