District Court Judge Brian Morris of Montana last week struck down the Trump administration's energy leasing rules in sage grouse habitat, canceling hundreds of oil and natural gas leases on federal land in Montana and Wyoming. The Bureau of Land Management responded, saying that "all of our lease sales are on sound legal footing and in full compliance with" environmental laws.
