A model developed at the University of California at Los Angeles maps neighborhoods in Los Angeles County that should have the highest priority for COVID-19 vaccinations based on prevalence of preexisting conditions and three social determinants of health. The model can be applied to other counties and jurisdictions to "assist decision makers, public health officials and scientists in effectively and equitably implementing vaccine distribution, testing, closures and reopenings, and other virus-mitigation measures," researchers said in a news release.
