A study in Health Affairs found increased adherence to prescription therapy when Medicare patients with cardiovascular disease were allowed to pick up all of their medications at once. Researcher Alexis Krumme said it has been shown that CVD patients make an average of 20 trips to the pharmacy per year, with 10% going 44 times or more.
