FDA urges diversity in breast cancer therapy studies

Though male breast cancer is rare, it does occur, and recent FDA guidance urges researchers to include men in clinical trials of breast cancer treatments. Male breast cancer is typically diagnosed at a late stage, most available therapies were not tested in men, and a study published in Annals of Oncology found many men with breast cancer do not receive optimal care.
