California and Oregon have agreed to be equal partners in plans to demolish four aging hydroelectric dams on the Klamath River. The $495 million project is the largest of its kind in the US, as well as part of the nation's largest salmon restoration effort, though approval is pending from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
