The Federal Highway Administration is giving the public an extra two months to offer feedback on its proposed rule to improve oversight of bridge inspections. The rule, which aims to comply with provisions in the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act, would apply to all highway bridges on all public roads, federal-aid highways and privately owned bridges connecting to a public road on each end.
