Researchers found that 14.5% of 131 children with Zika virus exposure prior to birth exhibited significant neurodevelopmental problems between the ages of 12 months to 18 months, as detected in neurodevelopmental screening, imaging or sensory organ testing. The findings were reported in The New England Journal of Medicine.
