Studies with positive titles and findings had higher mean monthly citation rates, compared with those with neutral or negative titles and findings, according to a study in the American Journal of Roentgenology. Researchers said such preferential citations in imaging studies may prompt overrepresentation of some studies in journals, as well as the overestimation of diagnostic tests' perceived accuracy or usefulness.
