PET with amyloid radiotracers identified 20% to 57% of people with suspected idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus, a treatable form of dementia, who had Alzheimer's disease pathology, according to a review in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. The findings suggest that PET can be used to better understand INPH pathophysiology and improve clinical management of the disease, researchers wrote.
