A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association found several interventions such as EHR and health IT optimization, decreasing EHR documentation, providing EHR training and care team expansion can help mitigate clinician burnout. EHR adoption and implementation, however, had little effect on improving clinician burnout and could even increase burnout, researchers found.
