A coalition that includes SNMMI and other nuclear medicine groups urged support for the Facilitating Innovative Nuclear Diagnostics Act of 2021, which Ann Marie Dawidczyk of the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance said would update Medicare payment policies that prevent access to a new generation of PET and SPECT diagnostic imaging modalities. Dawidczyk told a virtual briefing that "these structural reimbursement barriers must be addressed."
