Adopting artificial intelligence system-recommended standard care may help radiologists reduce their medical malpractice liability risk, but rejecting AI-recommended nonstandard care in favor of traditional care doesn't offer liability risk protections, according to a study in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. The findings "suggest that the view of the jury pool is surprisingly favorable to the use of AI in precision medicine," researchers wrote.
