Researchers found that a breakthrough blood test yielded 99.3% specificity in distinguishing individuals with and without cancer and enabled detection of more than 50 kinds of cancer. The findings, published in the Annals of Oncology, also showed that the test had 39%, 69%, 83% and 92% sensitivity in determining stage I, II, III and IV of the 12 most deadly cancers, respectively.
