Vietnam War veterans who were exposed to the powerful herbicide Agent Orange were found to be at a twofold greater risk of developing dementia, according to research published online in the journal JAMA Neurology. Investigators analyzed data from 316,351 veterans, 12.1% of whom were presumably exposed to Agent Orange.
