An analysis of data from five studies, which spanned from 1971 to 2017, found women showed faster declines in cognition and executive function, compared with men, while memory declines were similar in both groups, researchers reported in JAMA Network Open. Rebecca Edelmayer of the Alzheimer's Association said the study is important because the majority of people with Alzheimer's disease are women.
