A bipartisan bill that aims to stop "evergreening," a practice drugmakers use to extend monopolies by obtaining additional patents on minor drug changes, has been introduced by Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Bill Cassidy, R-La. "The REMEDY Act will increase competition and help reduce drug costs," Durbin said.
