Radiologists can combat perceptions that they may be replaced by artificial intelligence by engaging with patients through social media, involving themselves with local or national news outlets, utilizing in-person opportunities, working with health care AI developer companies, and setting standards, Dr. Sonia Gupta said at the AuntMinnie.com's Fall 2020 Virtual Conference. Gupta said radiologists should be the ones to decide how AI and radiology should be perceived, not other physicians, tech companies and venture capitalists.
