The US Securities and Exchange Commission announced that until further notice, "the agency will have a very limited number of staff members available" due to the federal government shutdown. The SEC says operations for its enforcement, investor complaints, and the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system offices will be maintained during the shutdown.
